Do you know what type of material was used when your irrigation system was installed? Sometimes, some companies will install a black, flexible poly tubing because it’s cheap and faster to install. Most of the time, you get about 5-7 years out of it before it starts to weaken and develop cracks and splits. Then you’re chasing leaks around your yard like you’re playing whack-a-mole.

Upgrading to PVC pipe is the best thing you can do when installing an irrigation system. When you compare quotes, make sure you know what type of PVC is being used. It’s not all the same!
